“A Dance without Dancers”



After Schmitt & Schulz showed the city of Mainz what they mean by performance, they are now engaging in contemporary dance and presenting their audience with a self-designed evening of choreography.

Schmitt & Schulz and the pad ensemble reinterpret dance for themselves.
Based on the means of the performance they ask themselves and the viewers the question: When and how does a performance become a choreography? What is needed? And is there a dance without a dancer?
Absurd scenes, folding ladders and Styrofoam plates as a dance partner and a slightly different broadcast with the mouse head over-dance performance …
