Contemporary Butho

Butoh is a modern dance, created in the 1960s in Japan, initiated by Tatsumi Hijikata and Kazuo Ono. The basic form of Butoh is the “Suijakutai” – the collapsed body. Therefore, in the workshop, we will start from a lying position, become aware of each individual part of the body, and then try to transform the moving body through imaginative stories.
Anyone can dance Butoh and find his very own butoh.
